Maziya, the clan name of the Sibeko Family, understands the true meaning of family and with

1962
The Beginning
Maziya Funeral Services First Branch In Alexandra

1962 – Mr Ben Obed Sibeko opens the first branch in the township of Alexandra, located in the north of Johannesburg, named B.O.S Undertakers.

1965
The Move To Soweto
Maziya Funeral Services Second Branch Soweto

1965 – B.O.S Undertakers then moved from Alexandra township to Orlando West in Soweto township where it still is today.

1976
Mr Sipho Sibeko Joins The Team
Maziya Funeral Services First Sibeko Son Joins Family Business

1976 – Mr Sipho Sibeko joined B.O.S Undertakers to work alongside his father Mr Ben Obed Sibeko after completing his schooling.

1996
Introduction Of The Maziya Brand
Maziya Funeral Services Rebranding From B.O.S To Maziya the Sibeko Clan Name

1996 – Mr Sipho Sibeko opens a new branch in the southeast township of Katlehong under the new name of Maziya Funerals, Maziya being the clan name of the Sibeko Family. This branch was the introduction of the Maziya Funerals name.

1997
Nationwide Expansion
Maziya Funeral Services South Africa Nationwide Expansion

1997 – Mr Sipho Sibeko expands the brand into other provinces to grow the companies footprint in South Africa.

2016
Continuation Of The Family Legacy
Maziya Funeral Services Second Sibeko Son Joins Family Business

2016 – Mr Sipho Sibeko’s Son, Mr Taru Sibeko joins the company on a full-time basis after completing his schooling, to work alongside his father.
