The Maziya Funeral Services, Ziya Plan, is our flagship funeral policy offering. With the Ziya Plan, no stone is left unturned when it comes to final send-offs. Your family and friends will be left with no burdens when it comes to the final goodbye and they can grieve in the comfort of other loved ones when you are laid to rest.

The Ziya Plan is available at all Maziya Funeral Services branches across South Africa in Gauteng – Johannesburg, Alberton, Soweto, Vosloorus, Katlehong, Secunda in Mpumulanga and Vrede in the Free State. Principal members under this plan are under 65 years of age.

General Rules Of The Scheme

1. Premiums are payable monthly on or before the 7th of each month.
2. Children covered under the scheme must be under 21 years or under 25 years (if studying full time). NB, only the stillbirth of the main member is covered by the scheme.
3. Probation periods: 7 months for members under 65 years of age and 9 months for members over 65 years of age, except for accidental death.
4. Only members and dependents stated in the Certificate of Insurance form will be covered by the scheme.
5. If premiums are not paid for 2 months, a policy will be regarded as having lapsed and are automatically cancelled. The member will not be covered should death occur such a lapse. Upon renewal, the member will be subjected to a 3 MONTH WAITING PERIOD.

N.B. The probation period for suicide is 24 months (2 years)

6. Amounts paid by the members are NOT REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE under any circumstances.
7. Premiums under the scheme may be adjusted by the underwriters when necessary.
8. At the inception, I.D. Copies/Originals must be handed to Maziya Funeral Services.
9. The members should inspect the summary thoroughly for any omissions, duplications or errors and notify Maziya Funeral Services immediately.
10. All funerals must be arranged through Maziya Funeral Services and no cash will be paid to family members or any other parties.
11. AMOUNT PAID BY THE FAMILY: GRAVE FEE, COFFIN ENLARGEMENT/OVERSIZE AND TRANSPORT OVER 20KM AROUND OUR BRANCHES.
